break pucks needed and oil filter

Hi all. I'm about to put some new tires on my 195 and would like to get some new pucks if someone has some I can buy or let me know where I can get some pretty quick.  Tires will be done Friday, I hope!

Also, since I'm going to fly from OPN to Carson City, NV end of May thru first part of June, I would like to put an oil filter on. I understand Airwolf is a good one to install and comes with the STC.  Are there any others as good or better for the money?  Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks, Bill K. (3873V)

Hi Bill,

I have GY pucks. Give me a call at 818-371-9848. I'll also be glad to discuss the oil filter topic with you. (run for your life Larry!!)

Bill,  the part numbers are 9543341 for the inner, and 953343 for the outer, you can grind the thick inner flat again, and use it on the outer,( Wear  a  mask, they are asbestos).  On the inner, there is a Cessna 310 puck that works, but has a  "hump" on the back that must be removed with a lathe.  Those I have, but not the original ones.  I believe the original thickness for the pucks is .375, and .275 or something close to that if memory serves.

Hey guys, sorry I totally wasn't thinking about the two different landing gear types.  Mine is the straight gear and NOT the crosswind type.  That would freak me out a little I think!!

Thanks,

BK

Bill, which brakes do you have, the crosswinds are a little hard to find pucks for, the straight axle goodyears a little easier, and the clevelands no problem at all,  JB

Rusty, I waited on night, and my hands are really sore.........

Bill, you maybe need to check the archives and do a search. Use the word "oil" or "Jeff Pearson".

I do have the Airwolf and after some replumbing of my two oil coolers, I am happy with this setup.

On another note, my new practice of NOT warming up at idle, has really made my oil puking problem GO AWAY. I now idle at 700 rpm or higher. For more info on this, research "John Barron".
