Michael and Julie Meloche's
N9PC Wins Best Classic at Reno 2005

We had our plane entered into the National Aviation Heritage International Display at Reno 2005, sponsored by Rolls Royce and The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. We were lucky to get awarded the Paul E. Garber Award for Classic Aircraft (1936-present). It was awarded by Steven Udvar-Hazy, Neil Armstrong, Gene Cernan and Gen. Jack Daily (director of the Smithsonian). There was some stiff competition as a lot of the aircraft were very nice and restored to original condition. We received many compliments on the plane and especially how the panel was not cut up but left in original condition. We have had a great time with plane over the years and this was just one of them.

The picture with our Cessna 195 is with Gen. Jack Daily, Julie Meloche, Mike Meloche and Don Lopez (AVG P-40 pilot and Ace in China and Associate Director of the Smithsonian).

Another picture was with Gene Cernan, Neil Armstrong, Reno director, Julie Meloche, Michael Meloche, Steven Udvar-Hazy (new Air & Space Museum is named after him), Gen. Jack Daily Ret., and the Rolls Royce Representative.
